Specification For Identification, Nameplate And Specification Of Led Explosion-Proof Light Enclosure

This paper briefly introduces the specification of LED explosion-proof lamps, mainly from the following aspects: explosion-proof lamps shell identification, nameplate content, explosion-proof certificate number, installation, use and maintenance of the necessary detailed instructions and LED explosion-proof lamps manual.

1. The shell of LED explosion-proof lamps shall be marked with permanent convex or concave signs "EX". The nameplate shall be provided in prominent parts of the shell. Warning signs must be clearly visible and placed in an appropriate location. If "Open after power cut off" warning sign should be set near the open cover.

2. Because of the presence of corrosive gas in the dangerous places of explosion, the signs on the shell of the explosion-proof lamps shall be made of bronze, brass, stainless steel or other materials with a thickness of not less than 1mm(the thickness of small lamps is not less than 0.5mm) or with a corrosion resistance of not less than the aforementioned materials. Also should be reliable fixed, not easy to die or fall off.

3. the method of testing the durability of the mark is: wipe with a cloth soaked in water for 15s to dry, and then wipe with a cloth soaked in gasoline for 15s, visual inspection, the sign should be clear, do not fall off. 

4. The content of the nameplate shall include:

A: Explosion-proof signs.

B: Basic marks: including product name, model number, manufacturer's name, registered trademark, date of manufacture, etc.

C: performance safety sign: including the rated voltage, current and nominal frequency, the power of light source and quantity, allowed temperature range (the only - 20 ~ + 40 is not standard), the application of the specific environment mark (such as applicable to only a certain kind of explosive gas mixture products, shall indicate the name of the combustible gas or formula), the classification of lamps and lanterns marks (such as "number), etc.

D: Explosion-proof certificate number, proving that the product has been officially inspected by the explosion-proof inspection station. Some products explosion-proof certificate number with "X" symbol, which indicates that the product can only be used under some special safety conditions, the specified conditions should be clearly marked in the lamp shell or product manual. For example, some old standard transition over the safety of explosion-proof lamps and lanterns, because of its use of high intensity gas discharge light source, explosion-proof safety performance is only equivalent to the present sparkless explosion-proof lamps and lanterns, should be marked "only applicable to 2 zones". For products applicable only to one explosive gas mixture, the name or formula of the combustible gas shall be indicated. The highest surface temperature shall be indicated for the explosion-proof lamps which are only applicable to a certain ignition temperature, and the explosion-proof lamps whose shell can only withstand the impact of low impact energy shall be indicated as "only applicable to the place with low risk of mechanical hold failure". There are many kinds of special safety conditions for use. When users see the symbol "X" after the number of the explosion-proof certificate, they should pay attention to find out what special safety conditions the product has, so as to correctly operate in the process of installation and use and avoid danger.

In addition to the above marks, detailed instructions necessary to ensure proper installation, use and maintenance shall be given in the manufacturer's LED explosion-proof lamp instructions on the lamps, on the built-in ballasts or supplied with the lamps. Such as:

1. Allowable working position of explosion-proof lamps: Some explosion-proof lamps and lanterns is allowed only in a certain position or install and use within the scope of a certain point of view, this is because the work place of change, explosion-proof lamps and lanterns on the surface of the heat distribution and the maximum surface temperature changes, the reason of the limitation of explosion-proof lamps work position, the main reason is that in order to control of the maximum surface temperature, Do not allow it to exceed the temperature group marked by the explosion-proof lamps and lanterns itself, resulting in dangerous temperature. In addition, the change of the working position will also have an impact on the life and performance of some light sources, the insulation of lamps and lanterns, electrical components, the insulation performance of different lines, life and so on. Therefore, the installation and use of the position of the explosion-proof lamps must be clearly stated.

2.In order to reduce the maximum surface temperature of explosion-proof lamps and reduce the temperature grouping level of products, the explosion-proof lamps and lanterns with special specifications shall indicate the name, model, shape and size of bubble shell of the light source and the manufacturer. If no indication is given, the maximum surface temperature of the explosion-proof lamp may exceed the ignition temperature of the explosive gas mixture in the environment when the user changes to other bulbs with the same power, which constitutes an explosion risk.

3. Under the most unfavorable conditions of normal operation, the insulation material of power cables or conductors should be marked when the maximum temperature in the lamp exceeds 80T, so that corresponding cables and conductors can be selected. Specification, model number and applicable temperature should be indicated when special requirements are required for imported cables or conductors.

4.Luminaires with batteries shall indicate the type, nominal voltage and nominal capacity of the batteries to avoid loss and danger.

5. the spotlight and similar performance of explosion-proof lamps should be marked from the object of the shortest distance, in order to prevent the object to be burnt and burning.

6. Rated maximum operating temperature of ballast coil tω(C), rated maximum operating temperature of capacitor tc(C), wiring diagram, etc.
